Around 1:20 PM on August 14, 2018, a four-wheel-drive vehicle encountered a peculiar phenomenon on National Road B2, traversing the central part of the Namib Desert in Namibia. Its three occupants witnessed the horizon approximately five kilometers ahead suddenly begin to undulate like waves, causing distant dunes and shrubs to unnaturally stretch and compress in sync with this movement.
