Details

On May 14, 2018, foreign tourists visiting the Fansipan Mountain Range witnessed a highly viscous, iridescent liquid seeping from a specific rock face. The tourists, out of curiosity, touched the liquid and reported experiencing minor skin irritation. Simultaneously, they felt a subtle, ground-upward vibration and stated that their mobile phones temporarily ceased to function.

Initially, this incident was speculated to be a geological anomaly or an unknown plant secretion. However, it was later discovered that the phenomenon had long been known among local residents and ethnic minority communities as 'Mountain's Tears,' with a traditional prohibition against touching it. According to the lore, the 'tears' appear when the mountain expresses its anger, and those who touch it will suffer misfortune.
