On May 12, 2018, around 14:30, an exploration team surveying specific rock formations in the eastern Rub' al Khali Desert, Oman, encountered peculiar phenomena. Their GPS devices simultaneously malfunctioned, and distant sand dunes visually distorted, appearing to abruptly rush closer. Concurrently, voices from their radios became fragmented, accompanied by distinct echoes.
This phenomenon was not an isolated incident. Oral traditions among local Bedouin nomads include descriptions of 'places where time stretches and shrinks' and 'rocks where phantom voices are heard.' Geological survey reports from the 1970s also contain unresolved records of 'measurement instrument anomalies' and 'loss of orientation' in specific sectors.
