On the afternoon of September 15, 2019, a hiker trekking through the remote mountainous area of the Kruja Region in central Albania experienced peculiar phenomena in the abandoned village of Murthi. As dense fog enveloped the village, he witnessed several figures dressed in traditional clothing moving through the mist, singing in an unfamiliar, mournful tone, as if lacking physical substance. His digital camera briefly captured these apparitions and a low-frequency chant.

The village of Murthi was abandoned in the late 1980s following a massive landslide. Once a vibrant community of several hundred inhabitants, it became a restricted area and fell into ruin after the disaster.
