In August 2018, initial reports reached authorities from fishermen in the Mamoré River Basin, Beni Department, Bolivia, detailing unusual low-frequency vocalizations echoing at night. Elders from local tribes identified this entity as 'Yacapana,' a 'water giant,' asserting its strong resemblance to beings chronicled in their ancient lore.
