The incident began on October 28, 2017, at 01:15, when a night guard at Predjama Castle observed translucent human figures in a castle room during his routine patrol. Simultaneously, he heard multiple indistinct human voices, and the room's temperature was recorded to be over 5°C lower than usual. This report marked the initial recording of the present case by the authorities.
Similar reports continued intermittently thereafter, frequently observed particularly in the castle's subterranean caves and along old forest paths adjacent to the castle. Witness testimonies consistently describe the figures as resembling individuals in medieval attire, the whispers as sounding like conversations between multiple people, and electronic devices experiencing temporary malfunctions during the phenomena. Historical records and local legends describe the tragic demise of the castle lord, Erasmus of Lueg, and those around him, suggesting a potential connection to these events.

Witness A (Night Guard)It was a usual patrol. But entering that room, the air suddenly felt heavy, and I saw something out of the corner of my eye. When I turned, there were vague shadows of several people standing there. I heard voices too, but I couldn't understand what they were saying at all. My hair stood on end.
Tourist BMy friend and I stopped in the depths of the cave when I heard voices, like someone was whispering right next to us. But there was no one else besides us. At that moment, I felt a chilling cold that froze my body, and time seemed to stop.
Local Resident CI was walking through the forest at night. Suddenly, a vague figure like a medieval soldier appeared on the path in front of me. At the same time, my watch seemed to jump several minutes ahead. I temporarily lost my sense of direction too. I left the spot immediately.
