Around 03:15 on May 12, 2019, in a high-altitude area exceeding 4700 meters on the northwest shore of Lake Namtso, several nomads witnessed a silent glowing orb in the night sky. The orb, estimated to be about 10 meters in diameter, had a clear outline and slowly floated at a low altitude, shifting colors from white to pale blue. Nomadic herder Mr. G, one of the witnesses, testified that the light moved along a specific route as if it possessed intent.
Coinciding with this luminous phenomenon, electronic device malfunctions were rampant in the surrounding area. Mobile phones lost communication, and satellite phones experienced power failures or system freezes. On the morning of that day, one of Mr. G's yaks was found dead without any apparent external injuries. Around its body, a circular scorch mark, approximately 2 meters in diameter, was observed on the ground. Despite the burn marks, there was no smoke or peculiar odor whatsoever.
Authorities initially downplayed the reports, attributing them to high-altitude meteorological phenomena or misidentification of aircraft. Yet, the luminous orb never registered on radar, nor was it present in air traffic control records.
