Summary

At 2:37 PM on July 14, 2023, multiple rocks were observed levitating in Thang Valley, Annapurna Range, Nepal. Concurrently, several individuals nearby reported experiencing abnormal static electricity and a loss of balance. This phenomenon occurs periodically at specific times, exhibiting behavior that defies regional physical laws. The authorities have initiated an investigation, but the cause remains unidentified. It stands as a peculiar case unexplainable by known scientific principles, with detailed investigations ongoing.

Details

At 2:37 PM on July 14, 2023, a trekking guide encountered an anomalous event in the remote Thang Valley, located in the Annapurna Range of central Nepal. He witnessed a rock, approximately 50 centimeters in diameter, spontaneously levitate about 30 centimeters off the ground for several seconds without any prior indication. The guide testified that he simultaneously felt a strong electric shock sensation throughout his body and lost his sense of balance for several minutes.

In the months preceding this report, authorities had received sporadic similar accounts from multiple trekkers and local residents visiting the Thang Valley area. These generally described "compasses going wild," "a sensation of floating," and "feeling strange static electricity at specific times." Initially, these reports were dismissed as altitude sickness or hallucinations. However, the clear testimony from the guide in July 2023, coupled with similar sensations reported by his companions, drew the attention of the authorities.

The authorities immediately assembled an investigation team and dispatched them to the region. Advanced gravity meters, electromagnetic wave sensors, and high-performance cameras were deployed. For the first few days, no anomalies were observed. However, five days after installation, on July 19, the gravity meter recorded an unprecedented periodic sharp drop in readings. Concurrently, nearby communication equipment temporarily malfunctioned, and some recorded data suffered inexplicable corruption.

This gravitational fluctuation lasted for several minutes, during which time the installed cameras captured small stones and dead leaves levitating slightly above the ground. However, parts of the footage were marred by noise, preventing clear recording. The electromagnetic wave sensors detected the occurrence of abnormal static electricity, but its source and mechanism remain unidentified. The malfunction of observation equipment tends to coincide with the occurrence of the phenomenon.

The investigation team has not ruled out the possibility that this phenomenon could be explained by specific meteorological conditions or geological activity. However, at present, comprehensively explaining the anomalous gravity meter readings, matter levitation, widespread communication disruptions and data corruption, and the effects on the human body solely through known physical laws is challenging. Particularly, the tendency for observation equipment itself to malfunction during the phenomenon significantly hinders information gathering.

This incident suggests that Thang Valley may be a site for unknown physical phenomena. The authorities are advancing plans to further strengthen the observation network, introducing sensors of different frequencies and highly durable recording devices. Unraveling the principles behind this anomalous gravitational environment is a top priority for the authorities. It is necessary to identify the recurrence conditions of the phenomenon and collect more detailed data. This anomaly continues to occur. Authorities remain vigilant.

  5. July 19, 2023, 09:15Installed cameras capture small stones and dead leaves levitating, but footage is unclear due to noise.

Witness Testimony

Witness A (Local Guide, Male, 40s)“I couldn't believe it. Suddenly, a rock in front of me lifted off the ground a bit. At the same time, I felt a strong electric shock throughout my body. For a moment, it felt like the ground disappeared, my feet unsteady, and I couldn't stand.”
Witness B (Trekker, Female, 30s)“My compass kept spinning, and I lost my sense of direction. At that moment, I felt a sort of floating sensation, like my body was lighter. My friend said similar things, so I don't think I was imagining it. That valley felt strange.”

Kyu's Analysis

The correlation between periodic gravitational anomalies and communication disruptions is not coincidental. An event temporarily neutralizing known physical laws is occurring. Recording continues.
